Martin is happy now that his marriage is back on track but Kate feels guilty as she was too drunk to remember what happened the night before.Janice becomes jealous when Suzie, the girl Mick met when buying flip flops sings karaoke, assuming she is singing to Mick.Madge accidentally gives Donald and Jacqueline the impression that she is a swinger.
With Mel and The Oracle laid up in hospital, Madge and Janice set off to visit them, only to be abducted by a wanted criminal posing as a taxi driver. When Madge’s son in law, Mick, tries to stage a rescue, with the help of the other Solana regulars, they find themselves in a siege situation. The only question is will anybody be able to save them? And will they be able to do so using a helicopter?
Swingers Donald and Jacqueline have a holiday visitor in the shape of Wink McAndrew who raises a few eyebrows amongst the holidaymakers. Kate finally plucks up the courage to tell Martin a few home truths whilst Gavin meets the new man in his life. Madge and Mel reveal a secret they've been hiding from The Garvey family that will change everyone's lives forever.
The Garvey's get a bit of a shock when they discover that Mel's debt has been taken on by some gangsters. They find themselves attempting a very risky bet to pay off what they owe. Noreen's problems with Pauline continue as she's decided she wants to leave Benidorm early. Meanwhile, Liam is still stuck to Natalie's side, much to the annoyance of Sam.
Benidorm is under siege from a freak storm and Les/Lesley attempts to arrange a bingo game with rather unusual prizes. Pauline learns that her flight has been cancelled and comes to the conclusion that a drink might help. After a good looking stranger from Janice's past shows up in Solana, she fails to notice that Michael is having a holiday romance. Natalie continues to have man trouble and Donald has bad news.
Pauline continues to drink permanently and everyone is looking forward to Eighties Night with guests Bananarama. Madge discovers that the lease on a bar could be coming and she has to decide whether she could live in Spain on her own. Kenneth takes Gavin out in an effort to try and cheer him up. Liam continues to attempt to win Natalie's heart but she is after Mateo. Mateo is talked by Leslie into going on a double date but nothing goes to plan. Bananarama end up finding an unexpected third member performing with them on stage.
Les/Lesley discovers some of Donald's clothes on the nudist beach - and it seems that Donald has left Jacqueline a note. The Garveys are gearing up for the opening of Madge's new bar, but when Lucky Kev arrives with some free tickets for a theme park, Mick packs the women and children off for the day. Pauline turns to the bottle as she awaits news on her divorce. Jacqueline, Kenneth and Gavin head off to pay their respects to Donald - but nothing goes to plan and Jacqueline is involved in a rather unusual water-skiing accident. As Gavin's patience with Kenneth reaches its limit, Troy appears - and brings some life-changing news.
Chaos reigns at the Solana Hotel as Mateo and Les find it hard to keep control. Les’s son Liam is now working as the hotel‘s handyman. Gavin and Noreen are not happy after showing up at the hotel and learning their luggage has been lost. Mateo ends up reluctantly coaches Liam in the art of chatting up pretty women. Kenneth and Gavin comfort lately widowed Jacqueline but they end up getting a nasty shock when they think they have seen the ghost of Donald. Joyce Temple-Savage, the new manager of the hotel, secretly watches everything that is going on as she is determined to see the hotel become four star.
New manager Joyce organises a dance competition for the guests and everyone is eager to take part. Rehearsals are supervised by her old flame Cyril Babcock, an ageing playboy whose impatience with the talentless contestants leads to a dance-off with Mateo. Kenneth hires an assistant for the salon, but her minimal knowledge of hairdressing and English leads to an unfortunate accident with her first client. Kenneth also tries to cheer up Gavin, who is missing Troy. Janice is shocked to see an old face at the pool bar, but he seems not to remember her. What is he playing at? And will Mick turn up in time to prevent a nasty scene?
Mick is unimpressed when his nice-but-dim brother Pete and his crotchety dad Stan arrive in Benidorm for Pete's stag party. Gavin thinks that Troy has dumped him so he agrees to a date with Emilio. Trudy comes up with a way to get intimate with Mateo, but her plans are scuppered by Les/Lesley. Donald takes Michael and Liam to see Jacqueline perform her erotic striptease at a local club.
The British Olympic Synchronised Swimming team are in the local area to train, and Joyce has managed to persuade them to stay at the Solana. Hazel, the team's strict coach, is not impressed by the poor facilities, but agrees to Joyce's idea for a gala display in the hotel pool. Liam ends up escorting the girls on a sight seeing tour along the coast. Madge is keen on Mohammed, the son of a wealthy property developer who knew Mel and Mick and Janice are surprised when they find out that she wants to marry him. Liam is unable to stop the young swimmers joining an 18 -30 booze cruise.
Madge is getting ready for her wedding to Mohammed but after Mick and Michael find Mohammed in a sports bar, they think that he is not quite what he seems. Joyce believes that somebody in the hotel is giving negative stories about the Solana to the local press and she recruits Donald and Jacqueline to spy on the staff. A trick is played on Sam by Trudy and she convinces her that she had unprotected sex with Liam while she was drunk.
Joyce becomes convinced that new guest Mrs Simmonds is the hotel assessor, but her attempts to impress do not start smoothly when Mrs Simmonds witnesses Joyce evicting a furious Kenneth from his salon for late payment of rent. The hotel is also playing host to underworld figures Lennie and Neville, who gave Donald a hard time when he was in prison. Mick tells his family that all of the sunbed shops Mel left them have been destroyed by fire, and an angry Madge attacks him, before being denounced in turn by Michael. Can the family set aside their differences?
Jason Gallagher shows up at the hotel looking for some bar work. He manages to impress Joyce much to Mateo's annoyance. Clive Dyke discovers his daughter Bianca wandering through Alicante Airport looking upset. Tiger Dyke is able to persuade Michael to help him steal the hotel’s all inclusive wristbands and sell them in town.
The Garveys arrive back at the Solana to find a fax waiting for Madge. It informs her that she has just inherited a fortune and an American is trying to contact her to explain everything - but is she being stalked? Tiger Dyke is back too, on holiday with a friend. When he wakes up one morning, he discovers that his mate has scarpered - taking all his money with him. In desperation he phones his dad. Clive and his sister fly out and join Tiger on holiday. Donald and Jacqueline are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with a week's wife swap. Jacqueline cannot help being disappointed as Glynn proves not to be as enthusiastic a swapper as she had hoped. Things may be about to look up - Donald has organised a surprise for her at Neptune's Bar. Joyce Temple-Savage has been told she has to make cuts and when Les/Lesley is demoted to cleaner, the other staff have had enough.
Inspired by a pep-talk from Crystal, Kenneth and Liam launch a Blow and Go makeover competition. Crystal Hennessy-Vass announces that the staff budget is being cut by half - and Joyce is being replaced by Janey, her predecessor. As Geoff's Romanian fiancee Ionela arrives in Benidorm, Noreen discovers that Geoff has told her he is a successful businessman.
Mateo reveals his home life is a disaster - his mother-in-law Dolores is threatening to kill him - so Lesley urges the barman to move out and start a new life. But will it be that easy? Clive, Tiger and Terri come up with a plan to retrieve Clive's 5,000 euros from dodgy property developer Monty, while Psychic Sue drops by Blow & Go with a message for Liam. Jacqueline and Glynn look forward to a reunion with their real partners, but when Riannon arrives, there's no sign of Donald. Guest starring Ruth Madoc (Hi-de-Hi!).
The Dawson family head to the Solana Resort for the first time. Eddie is already causing trouble when he nearly drowns his grand-daughter. Billy and Sheron aren't happy at all. Tiger brings his best friend Joey on holiday. Joyce is on the look-out for a new member of staff, she has to choose between efficient Amber and flirty Marcus. Troy returns to the Solana, as he, Jacqueline and Kenneth scatter Donald's ashes.
Tiger and Joey take a shine to new girl Amber, while Mateo is the odd choice to run a staff first-aid course. Eddie tries to make amends with Sheron after the near-drowning incident the day before, Kenneth could be in for a windfall after the death of his beloved Uncle Herbert, and Troy and Jacqueline come up with a plan to save the salon.
The Maltbys are back at the Solana and Geoff gets some terrible news from back home as his status as quiz champion `the Oracle' is revoked, and Pauline must battle her demons as her sobriety is seriously tested by the resort's all-inclusive policy. Joey and Tiger get in trouble at a local biker bar and must defeat one of the regulars in a drinking challenge to save their necks, while Blow & Go sees some big changes and Joyce goes to a property auction and has to fight it out with a surprise bidder.
Geoff stages an intervention when Pauline falls off the wagon, but not before she has drunkenly befriended young Jodie - who was left under the not-so-watchful eye of Eddie while Billy and Sheron went for breakfast. The Solana wristbands are replaced by a new ID card system, but the technicalities of the new process prove too complicated for Mateo and the staff, and Joyce goes on a date with her estate agent Monty.
Tiger and Joey go mountain-climbing and soon have a run in with a hiker who takes exception to their seemingly loutish behaviour. The situation worsens when they realise they've forgotten to bring any water. After Pauline's relapse, the Maltbys decide to cut their holiday short and take her home on the evening flight, while romance is in the air at the Solana with both Eddie and Rob landing themselves dates, and a stranger turns up at reception asking for Mateo.
The whole town is dressed to impress for the Benidorm fancy dress festival, but Les is down in the dumps as he is missing his son Liam more than ever so Amber and the staff hatch a plan to cheer him up. Troy thinks he is being stalked by his ex Gavin, but the threat soon turns out to be much more sinister, while the Dawsons' holiday is drawing to a close and Billy still hasn't told Sheron that Eddie (Bobby Knutt) Is moving in with them. Meanwhile, a case of mistaken identity gets Rob, Joey and Tiger into trouble with the law.
Jodie's acting career gets a boost when she is accepted into stage school, but the high fees may be a problem, while Liam is back to visit his dad Les and is interested in a position at Blow & Go. Sir Henry asks Joyce if the Solana can host the Pride of Benidorm awards at short notice, but a double booking leads to a fight between two Peter Andre tribute acts and host Sammy Valentino starts causing trouble. Can a special star performance from Crystal save the day?
A previously unobserved religious festival means no fun or alcohol is to be had anywhere in Benidorm. The Solana staff reluctantly try to enforce the ban, but all the guests are determined to ignore it. Led by Pauline and Loretta, the search is on for some fun. Troy is due to open a new salon in London and desperately needs models for a photoshoot. Can he rely on Kenneth and Liam come up with the goods? Pauline's mysterious Malcolm arrives and she seems to be under his spell again, but will it last?
Concerns from the Blow and Go team and Sam for Liam's wellbeing leads to confusion when they fear he has joined a self-help group to confront a traumatic childhood experience. Rob's bad exam results make him question his future and he asks Tiger for a job at his dad's company. Now he has to break the news to his family that he is giving up university to become a building labourer. Suspicions about Malcolm's identity grow and Kenneth is intent on exposing him.
Anticipation is in the air at the Solana as it's Joyce and Monty's big day and Monty is steaming ahead with last-minute plans; will Joyce like his surprise venue, and just how good is the catering going to be? Meanwhile, Sam has been left in charge at the Solana and can't resist the chance to make some extra cash by organising a raffle in Neptune's. It's also Billy and Sheron's 25th wedding anniversary holiday, but although they are determined to enjoy themselves, speculation could cause a feud.
The wedding party return after spending a night under the stars, but Kenneth is nowhere to be found. Jacqueline's dread soon turns to joy when he arrives back safe and sound after being rescued at sea. Meanwhile, Rob checks in with his much anticipated friend, and Joey is back with his new friend Callum in tow
Joyce is furious with Monty after a chaotic evening of magic, but a chance meeting with legendary entertainer Sammy Valentino might get him his job back. Meanwhile. Callum decides to go up-market and sets his sights on an older professional lady, and Eddie adds to the family discourse when he catches a glimpse of Cyd in the changing room next door. Elsewhere, Liam and Kenneth are not impressed with Jacqueline's latest old school business venture for Blow & Go, but it certainly seems to be pulling in the punters.
Joyce is furious with Sam and Monty after Sammy's disastrous performances in Neptunes, and she soon finds out that Monty has given him a Solana contract. Meanwhile, Doreen jumps the gun by sending Pauline's novel to be published, and Sheron and Billy take a trip down memory lane and spend a day reliving their youth. Elsewhere, Denis and Nigel are increasingly reluctant to arrest Lesley, and Mateo worries about having to go on another concubine cruise with Crystal Hennessy-Vass.
Eddie and Loretta seem to be getting on surprisingly well as they make secret plans for an anniversary party for Billy and Sheron back in the UK, but it looks as if the anniversary couple are making plans of their own. Meanwhile, the chips are down for Monty now that Joyce has sacked him, and he needs a job - fast. Things are not good for Kenneth either, as he wakes up in the Blow and Go after a big night out to find that the builders have inadvertently bricked him in the place!
It's all go as another Summer holiday draws to a close - the Dawsons get mixed up in a strike at the airport as they try to return home and encounter a snotty holiday rep. Sam can't decide if to stay with Joey or return to her ex boyfriend. Grandad Dawson has a shock for the family, Ron Pickford is alive! Joyce gets a shock when she hears the Solana Resort is up for sale and has a potential new buyer, will they all be out of jobs? Holly Johnson entertains the holidaymakers at Neptunes.
