As the series' third season comes to a close, John Becker is being taken to court by a patient who claims the doctor almost killed him. The patient, Vinny, is suing John for allegedly causing him to have a heart attack by taking him to a gym for a workout. John maintains that Vinny would have had the heart attack anyway and that going to the gym had nothing to do with it. Defending John from his insurance company is a pretty attorney, and, of course, John finds fault with her, too. She refuses to let the hot-tempered doctor take the stand, fearing that he won't be able to keep a lid on his anger.

Ed ora che succede: Becker deve presentarsi in tribunale per difendersi al processo intentato da Vinny DeLuca,contro di lui, che lo accusa di essere responsabile dell'attacco di cuore subito! Quando John sale sul banco dei testimoni per essere ascoltato, non resiste e da sfogo alle sue frustrazioni, sfogandosi come solo lui sa fare e quando manca di rispetto alla corte, le cose sembrano mettersi male per il dottore ed il processo sembra essere perso prematuramente ...

La demanda de Vinny ha llegado finalmente a juicio. Mientras Becker y su abogada preparan la defensa del caso, él comienza a no fiarse de ella, ya que ha descubierto algo que no le gusta nada. Además, los amigos de John suben al estrado pero no ayudan demasiado y Linda empieza a buscar trabajo por si acaso pierde el juicio.
