With the legendary MH 1, a steam engine built in 1906, the journey goes from Gmünd to Litschau and Groß-Gerungs. Like a journey of discovery through the past and present of the Waldviertel, a visit to Weitra Castle and the Heidenreichstein moated castle is on the program. In Gmünd and Weitra, the lovingly restored sgraffito houses are an eye-catcher and in the legendary, untouched nature of the Waldviertel you will find the legendary rocking stones and abandoned chapels.
