Giles Gordon, his Mom and Grandpa move to he scenic paradise coastal town of Sunset Cove. But as Giles struggles to settle in to his routine and school life at Atlantis High, he quickly discovers that Sunset Cove isn't quite the paradise he envisaged. And nothing is ever quite what it seems.
As Giles pursues the attention of enigmatic Octavia Vermont, he upsets the school jock, Josh Montana, who idolizes the exceptionally vain Coach Shane. But that is the least of his problems. The school principal, Violet Profusion, is revealed to be involved with Lew Siffer, local frightening entrepreneur of questionable repute. Giles is paranoid with a distinct feeling that he is being watched.
After a failed attempt at heroism, Giles continues to investigate the anomalies of Sunset Cove. While the rest of the school is distracted by a new line of designer clothes which all believe would look very cool on hot hunks and babes at the beach, Lew Siffer concludes negotiations with Violet Profusion on a new initiative: the art of youthful rebellion.
After discovering Octavia's bizarre plans with the sinister 'Q', the school guidance counselor, Giles attempts to confide in conspiracy theorist Jet who is more interested in Beanie, having recently discovered that he has been in Atlantis High for a long time. But for how long? Which makes Jet question Beanie's true origins. Has his family always lived in Sunset Cove? And on planet earth?
Giles is thrilled to have gained some new friends at Atlantis High, regardless of their quirks, and thought that he was the one who was always socially awkward. But his insecurities and problems seem to pale in comparison to all he encounters. And his inner child gives welcome advice on all that seems so surreal. Giles focuses on the one thing on his mind, the school play: Romeo and Juliet.
Despite his success in the school play, Giles seems to have slid back to square one. Could the break up of Antonia and Antony have anything to do with this? It complicates matters when 'their' friends attempt to console the heartbroken lovers. Dorothy encounters ninja warriors as she investigates the mysteries of the Vermont family home. Lew Siffer is on red alert. As his Violet Profusion.
Giles is arrested by local police, Officer Costello. The local crime fighting hero, Silver Lining, is disappointed that he didn't solve the crime, and after discovering that Octavia provided much needed clues. There is only one superhero in Sunset Cove. But is it Silver Lining or his arch enemy, the villainess and seductive super villain Bad Mood?
After the mysterious abduction of school website editor an election is held for the replacement and a reluctant Giles is nominated. But by whom? Surely not by the scheming Sabrina, who had her sights set on the role. Josh is threatened by witnessing that Octavia is showing signs of becoming impressed by Giles's campaign and his endearing personality, which leaves Josh determined to seek revenge.
Sabrina accuses Giles of cheating in the election. 'Q' gives Octavia an important mission, instructing her to host a social party in order for the agency to search the Vermont family home. Despite being the local socialite, Octavia isn't very social and doesn't know how to host a party. The intrepid time travell ing aliens are seemingly reunited with Mr Dorsey, but not in the way he had planned.
Love is all around Sunset Cove. Violet Profusion and her assistant, the sensuous Vita discover that Coach Shane seems to be falling head over heels in love with himself. Giles and Octavia are both obsessing about their near kiss. Beanie tries to figure out his feelings for Jet. And Sabrina organises a 'Date Josh' competition. Josh attempts to sabotage the event and make Octavia win.
Giles continues his attempts to gain Octavia's affection. Sophie is convinced that Giles actually has feelings for her, A depressed Mr. Dorsey makes an unlikely friend. Meanwhile, Commander Vermont uncovers information which raises his suspicions that perhaps Jet is correct: there is a conspiracy theory which could threaten all in Sunset Cove.
It's happiness week at Atlantis High but a heartbroken Giles isn't feeling the joy. Even his inner child struggles to give comfort and Dorothy considers that perhaps her socially awkward son needs more therapy with Dr. Leggz. Coach Shane recruits players for the school football team. A desperate Mr Dorsey attempts to instigate an emergency 'Plan B'.
Giles tries to avoid Sophie's obsessive pursuit and joins forces with the manipulative Sabrina in his attempts at breaking Octavia and Josh up. But what is Sabrina's true motive? Commander Vermont attempts to put strategies in place, unaware that Mr. Dorsey is pleading with the alien generals for another opportunity to find the lost city of Atlantis, which he gives as a school assignment.
Giles tells Sophie that he isn't interested in any romance. Commander Vermont and his wife make wedding preparations for their depressed daughter Octavia who ponders her future as the unwanted marriage looms closer. Josh/Silver Lining is a little bored, having achieved his quest of getting the girl. Beanie proposes marriage to Jet and Coach Shane considers marrying himself.
Wedding Day arrives at the Vermont residence but Jet and Beanie are the only two who seem to be excited. Giles dreads the thought of his soulmate marrying his rival. Mr Dorsey makes an unlikely discovery in the wedding cake. Among the guests at the wedding is an unexpected poltergeist. But who is responsible? Mr Fluffy Muffin? Or Sophie? Or her sinister alter ego?
Giles is relieved that he has escaped Sophie's obsessive attentions. For now. Octavia is delighted to have left Josh at the alter. Josh is left brokenhearted. Sabrina relishes her new role as Mrs. Montana by spending all of Josh's money. A contemplative Beanie wanders alone, pondering who/or what he is. Mr. Dorsey tries to convince the aliens to invade planet Earth.
UFO enthusiasts from all over the world arrive in Sunset Cove after reports of close encounters of the weird kind. Dorothy is suspicious of Commander Vermont. Commander Vermont is suspicious of Octavia. Sophie returns to Atlantis High after her abduction, but has changed in unexpected ways. Octavia reveals to Giles details about 'Q' and the agency's plans to eliminate him.
Giles and Jet continue to search for their missing friend, Beanie. An amorous Sophie works her way through the phone book with a goal to seduce every man in Sunset Cove. Reporters latch onto the rumors that Giles is an alien. Silver Lining is working overtime after the town is threatened by its first ever real criminal, the villainous Bad Mood.
Giles and Jet attempt to fake injuries to save Beanie after learning that he has been found in Hospital. Octavia ponders how to get Giles to speak to her again. Commander Vermont is on the case to thwart a possible alien invasion. Josh plots to try and figure out the identity of his arch rival and super hero of the dark side, Bad Mood.
After Octavia assists Giles and Jet with breaking Beanie out, the four friends find themselves in Las Vegas so that Jet and Beanie can get married. But could the unexpected celebrant be the king himself, Elvis? Dorothy investigates clues to discover the identity of Big D. Could he be related to 'Q', who recruits Sophie to the agency. Josh continues his manic and obsessive search for Bad Mood.
After Violet gambled and lost the school, Atlantis High is under the ownership of the mob. Giles receives obtains a job at the local diner, which he suspects is a front for more nefarious activities. Sophie embarks upon a mission. Dorothy is sure that she has been brainwashed. Beanie and Jet and settle into married life. Antonia and Mr. Dorsey go on a boat trip in search for Atlantis.
The students are shocked after their new principal, Vita, imposes strict new standards of education. Violet is desperate to get her job back. Mr. Nite, mentors Giles on the rules of business. Beanie is having an identity crisis and tries to fit in as a human but upsets Jet during the process. Sophie discovers a hidden talent as a talk show host. Dorothy continues to investigate her past.
Octavia is upset having discovered that Giles is involved with the mob. Beanie discovers a self respect for his alien identity but it soon turns to curiosity. What kind of alien is he? Antonia's crush on Mr. Dorsey blooms. Violet schemes to get the school back from the mob. Silver Lining and Bad Mood make a television appearance.
Giles struggles to come to terms with Octavia's apparent crush on Silver Lining. Dorothy discovers Big D's glove, a vital clue in her pursuit of self discovery. Bad Mood and Silver Lining's crime/love affair continues. Antonia makes an interesting discovery about Beanie's past and involvement with the history of Atlantis High.
Giles asks Octavia to be his prom date. As Sophie and Violet's television show ratings are low, they scheme for a way to get more viewers. Beanie's obsessive behavior puts his relationship with Jet in jeopardy. Antonia's crush on Mr. Dorsey goes too far. Mrs. Vermont and Grandpa attempt to keep Dorothy and Commander Vermont apart. A prophecy about the end of the world is discovered.
Although the end of the world is supposedly imminent, all are determined that this won't stop Atlantis High's prom night. But there is more to it all than meets the eye after Dorothy and Commander Vermont make an ominous discovery. And all inhabitants of Sunset Cove are intrigued and speculate on just exactly what the resolution of all their storylines might be.
