Lily reads the letter that Rose planted in her bag. Lucinda arrives to welcome Lily home and winds up comforting her when Lily shows her the letter where Holden professed his love to her, when it was really to Rose. Meanwhile, Holden tells Rose that he and Lily have reconciled. They share a warm moment and Holden tells her that he has no regrets. Remembering that Lily has the letter, Rose informs Holden about it. He runs out, hoping to stop Lily from reading it, but hes too late. He explains that he loves her and that their future is more important than the past. Holden burns the letter and Lily invites him to come home. Jack visits Julia at the psychiatric hospital and finds out that Carly attacked her. Julia plays the sympathy card and tells Jack that she told Carly what happened to Flashdance to prove that she needs help. When Jack leaves to straighten things out with Carly, Julia explains to another patient that she enjoys being crazy. Meanwhile, Carly is in the Oakdale police station demanding to speak to Jack, but Margo convinces her to give her statement to Hal. Carly is about tell Hal that Julia killed Flashdance when Jack arrives. Hal agrees to let Jack take her home. Carly, disappointed that Jack is still protecting Julia and convinced that hell never leave her, says goodbye to Jack. Later, Lien tells Ben about her upcoming meeting with Curtis dad. Curtis overhears them arguing and wants to know how long Ben has known that his dad is alive. Lien covers for Ben and tells Curtis that it was her idea not to tell him. Ben and Lien assure Curtis that the adoption will go smoothly. Ben and Lien draw closer together.
