La prima parte della gara si chiude con un ritardo notevole della nuova Katori, a causa delle sleali manovre dei rivali colleghi, che manomettono l'auto e la costringono a rallentamenti ed incidenti imprevisti. Il rally viene perso, tuttavia, per la scarsa tenuta di strada del prototipo. Takaya, per il rammarico, torna a Tokyo dallo zio.
The first part of the race ends with a significant delay of the new Katori, due to the unfair maneuvers of the rival colleagues, who tamper with the car and force it to slow down and have unexpected accidents. The rally is lost, however, due to the poor road holding of the prototype. Takaya, in regret, returns to Tokyo to his uncle.
