Il giovane e brillante commissario Alzani (Renato De Carmine) ed il maturo e scanzonato maresciallo Patanò (Enzo Turco) sono la coppia di poliziotti che si trovano a risolvere sei casi diversi in una delle primissime serie gialle della televisione italiana. I richiami alle atmosfere noir e la figura di un commissario antieroe, appassionato di boxe e gangster movie, che non crede tanto nell'intuito infallibile ma nel duro lavoro e nella pazienza, sono tratti distintivi dello sceneggiato.
