作為「美食天堂」，本港匯聚中西各國菜式的名廚，各展廚藝，大放異彩！為了解這些美盞佳餚誕生的過程，以及各大名廚入廚心得，愛嗜美食又自問廚藝不俗的節目主持馬浚偉，每集會帶同兩位美女助手陳蔚而Eda、林穎彤Bella尋訪一位名廚，請教其首本名菜的烹調竅門，透過與名廚的交流切磋，啟發家庭觀眾對烹調美食的創意、靈感，增進廚藝。 節目第一部份，主持會透過訪問介紹名廚嘉賓的背景，以及曾款待過的中外名人等等；然後「馬仔」會在「馬仔出馬」環節試煮師傅的首本名菜，再由師傅品評、指正錯誤及說出竅門；接著由師傅在「大廚出馬」環節，還原名菜精髓。 節目第二部份，主要有「大廚首創」環節，介紹名廚示範特別鑽研、精心構思的新菜式，「馬仔」並會請來一位好友作嘉賓試食新菜，或有機會請來師傅款待過的名人嘉賓試食品評。節目中更會穿插講解廚房術語的「廚房正字」及名廚入廚「小貼士」的「大廚秘笈」兩個小環節，令煮食更具趣味。
