In his 2000 memoir, "Kitchen Confidential," master chef and best-selling author, Anthony Bourdain, said that when he goes out to a restaurant, "I never order fish on Monday." This is due to the fact that the fish markets in New York City were closed on the weekends, so the fish that's served on Monday was left over from Friday.
