After the departure of the elect, Eighth spends a couple of hours preparing a strange ritual, trying to revive in his way to Horsefrillos using creation magic, until Hilda wakes up and meets the scene. Hilda worries about Tomás, Victra and her spear, but Eighth takes charge of the situation.
Screw and Eighth have a conversation about taking charge of the problems, with which Eighth decides to use the vacuum for the ritual, but no longer creating horsefrillos, but Quinto. Later, Eighth creates a prosthesis to Victra and comforts Tomás .
After a while, the group leaves to the north, with the intention of finding a place to do the ritual for the sapphire. They find a cabin in the forest, where they meet Sofía, an old woman who feeds them and gives Victra a strange pearl. Inside the cabin, they know Nut, a nekirin that Tornillo knew at some point in his life. Later, they realize that the cabin is a sancta sanctorum.
The group decides to stay to sleep in the cabin while Tornillo performs the ritual. Victra has a new episode of visions, but ignores them by opposing her instincts. At nightfall, they hear the voices of Doc and Holly in the basement, where they have been kidnapped by Sofia. They have a fight against Sofia, who turns out to be a witch who sacrifices people to the demons, to which they finally defeat.
The group stays in the cabin for a couple of days, until Tornillo finishes the ritual and reveals what the sapphire keeps, the Rod of Pertho.
Tras la partida de los elegidos, Octavo pasa un par de horas preparando un extraño ritual, intentando revivir a su manera a Horsefrillos usando magia de creación, hasta que Hilda despierta y se encuentra con la escena. Hilda se preocupa por Tomás,Victra y su lanza, pero Octavo se hace cargo de la situación.
Tornillo y Octavo tienen una conversación respecto a hacerse cargo de los problemas, con lo que Octavo decide usar el vacío para el ritual, pero ya no creando a horsefrillos, sino a Quinto.Posteriormente, Octavo le crea una prótesis a Victra y consuela a Tomás.
Al cabo de un tiempo, el grupo parte hacia el norte, con la intención de buscar un lugar en el que hacer el ritual para el zafiro. Se encuentran una cabaña en el bosque, en la que se encuentran con Sofía, una viejecita que les da de comer y le entrega a Victra una extraña perla. Dentro de la cabaña, conocen a Tuerca, una nekirin que Tornillo conoció en algún momento de su vida.Posteriormente, se dan cuenta que la cabaña es un sancta sanctorum.
El grupo decide quedarse a dormir en la cabaña mientras Tornillo realiza el ritual. Victra tiene un nuevo episodio de visiones, pero las ignora oponiéndose a sus instintos. Llegada la noche, escuchan las voces de Doc y Holly en el sótano, en donde han sido secuestrados por Sofía. Tienen un combate contra Sofía, que resulta ser una bruja que sacrifica personas a los demonios, a la que finalmente derrotan.
El grupo se queda en la cabaña un par de días, hasta que Tornillo finaliza el ritual y revela lo que guarda el zafiro, la Vara de Pertho.
