The work of lighthouse architects Tom and David Stevenson, whose designs moved more toward functionality and away from the fancy flourishes that characterised their predecessors. Examples of their work include Muckle-Flugga - Britain's most northerly lighthouse - and the magnificent rock light off the west coast of Mull at Dubh Artach.
