تدور أحداث القصة حول رجل أعمال يقوم بالعديد من الأفعال السيئة، وبعد وقوع حادث له يفقد ذاكرته، يظن أهله أنه قد مات نتيجة الحادث، يستقر به الحال في وسط حارة شعبية بسيطة أهلها طيبون، يدعمه أهل هذه الحارة على استكمال حياته، يقع في غرام صاحبة مقهى بالحارة، ويتزوج منها، تكتشف عائلته أنه لازال على قيد الحياة، وأنه مقيم بالحارة، ويحاول أن يستعيد ذاكرته مجددًا، وتذكر أفعاله السابقة.
