China is one of the greatest world powers but is hardly known. Let alone us knowing the life, work, ambitions and fears of the ordinary Chinese people. Fotograaf Ruben Terlou travels with his camera along the borders of the Yangtze and discusses the impact of economic process with the Chinese people he meets.

China is een van de grootste wereldmachten, maar heeft voor ons nog nauwelijks een gezicht. Laat staan dat we een idee hebben hoe de gewone Chinees leeft en werkt of wat hij ambieert of vreest.
