At a fog-bound RAF airport, a quiet night is broken by the sound of a sputtering aeroplane motor , but only the flight lieutenant hears it. Soon a strange message in a canister is found, describing survivors of a crash of a troop plane they were expecting to arrive soon-but the message appears to be over forty years old.
