ปมแค้นจากที่พ่อแม่โดนฆ่า นำสู่การร่ำเรียนศาสตร์มนตร์อวิชชา เพื่อปราบปรามคนชั่วช้าให้หมดไป แต่มนตร์นั้นมีข้อแม้ยิ่งใหญ่ คือห้ามมีความรัก ไม่เช่นนั้นมนตราจะเสื่อมถอย ร่างกายสิ้นเรี่ยวแรง กระดูกจะแตกหักเป็นผุยผง “พันแสง” จะทำอย่างไรเมื่อแผ่นดินกำลังจะลุกเป็นไฟเพราะกบฎจากเหล่าขุนนางชั่ว แต่เขากลับรัก ‘ชวาลา’ น้องสาวของศัตรูไปเสียแล้ว
