Riku Isshin cannot forgive Matsumoto Koji and suffers from the fact that the person in charge of the Japanese side is his own father. As the construction of the steel plant comes to an end, Isshin comes back to Japan to inspect the power distribution equipment. He visits Koji's house, violating the rule that prohibits him from going out alone without permission. Father was living alone and lonely in a small company housing. He showed a picture of his mother and his sisters' Buddhist mortuary tablet, and Isshin felt a sense of "family" that is no longer there. However, while out of the house, Isshin's confidential documents are stolen.
陸一心は松本耕次を許すことができず、日本側の責任者が実父であるという事実に苦しみます。製鉄所建設工事も終盤に来て、一心は配電機の点検のために再び日本に来ます。そして、無断単独外出禁止の規律を犯して、耕次の家を訪ねます。父は小さな社宅に一人寂しく暮らしていました。母の写真や妹たちの位牌（はい）を見せられ、今はなき「家族」を感じる一心でした。ところが、その外出中に一心は機密書類を盗まれてしまいます。
