Der Detektivclub besucht die Eltern von Scooby. Bei den Geburtstagsfeierlichkeiten erhält Scooby ein wertvolles Hundehalsband aus dem Familienbesitz. Doch das Halsband scheint mit einem Fluch beladen. Denn unversehens erscheint der böse Hundefängergeist und fordert das Halsband zurück.
The gang goes along with Scooby to his parents' house. Scooby's parents give him their heirloom, a special collar. Everything seems okay until the ghost of a long dead dogcatcher who was arrested when he tried to steal that collar off of a young Scooby comes to continue what he started years ago.
La pandilla van junto a Scooby a la casa de sus padres, quienes le dan una reliquia de la familia, un collar especial. Todo marcha bien, hasta que aparece el fantasma de un perrero muerto que fue arrestado cuando intentó robarle dicho collar a un joven Scooby. El intentará robar nuevamente el collar para continuar lo que comenzó hace ya varios años atrás.
