Endlich ist das Bild für den Wettbewerb fertig. Niklaas geht mit Paul nach Antwerpen, um es im Stadthaus abzuliefern. Wieder zu Hause, erwartet ihn Onkel Michel, der ihn zu sich holen will. Niklaas will aber erst das Resultat des Wettbewerbs abwarten.

Finally the painting for the competition is ready. Nello goes with Paul to Antwerp to deliver it to the town house. Back home, Uncle Michel is waiting for him and wants to take him home. But Nello wants to wait for the result of the competition first.

ついに、ネロはおじいさんの絵を描き上げた……！ おじいさんの墓前に完成の報告をしたネロは、パトラッシュやクロ、途中で一緒になったポールと共にアントワープまで絵を出品しに行く。公会堂に集まった人の多さに驚くネロたち。思わず不安を覚えるネロだが、アロアの励ましを受けて気を取り直す。家へ戻ったネロを迎えてくれたのはミッシェルだった。ミッシェルの心遣いにネロの心も明るくなる。
