「家族になりませんか？」という咲子（岸井ゆきの）の同居提案に首をかしげる高橋（高橋一生）だったが最近悩まされているお節介なご近所さん対策になると思い直し受け入れる。咲子は高橋の役に立とうと懸命に頑張るが空回り気味で同僚のカズ（濱正悟）もその様子が気になりだす。そんな矢先母さくら（西田尚美）に同居の件がバレ、二人は恋人のフリをして母と父博実（小市慢太郎）たちの待つ咲子の実家へ向かうことに…。
