    From the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, Andrew reviews the route ahead and heads off through the dune-lands of the West Coast, rides a land yacht on the beach, flies a glider over the dunes and drives them in a very hot Land Rover Defender.

    This is the episode that people are still talking about... Andrew and his family test the Pajero into the sand seas of the Namib, a six-day expedition. The Pajero's performance disappointed Andrew and this what the fuss was all about - especially when it was crowned, 'The Tupperware Princess'.

    The Waterberg is much prized game area in the northern Province of South Africa. Andrew gets involved with Leopard conservation while at the same time drives a 4x4 on a race track to get some advanced driving guidance.

    Dombe Grande is an oasis in the true sense of the word, and then south to the coastal plains of Namibia. The Angolan coast is sublime. We catch garrick on the beach and cook them, go diving on a reef and walk inside an ancient river (yes... inside a river!).

    Andrew suggests a new name for a spectacular landscape: 'Utah Canyon'. The he visits Lake Arco, an abandoned military base and drives the astonishing Libas pass as he begins heading back into central Angola. In the second half of the show, he enters Botswana with the Okavango River near Shakawe, travels the Okavango pan handle and ends the show on an excursion to the magic Tsodilo Hills.

    Andrew continues his visit to Tsodilo, the first and last resting place of the Bushman, visits a bushman village and meets one of the very few remaining pure-blood bushmen. He then returns to the Okavango River to feed fish eagles that swoop down to grab their meals.

    Having crossed the Okavango River, now on the eastern part of the Delta, Andrew goes in search of the Selinda Spillway, which this year is flowing for the first time in 80 years. But the high water puts the expedition in jeopardy.

    Forging ahead through deep water and thick mud, the expedition is finally halted within 10 miles of their goal - Selinda Spillway. They then head for Maun where Andrew meets his wife Gwynn and they fly into the Okavango Delta, to a camp they once ran, many years ago.

    Andrew explores the Delta with one night at Delta Camp followed by a night on Chief's Island. From the Okavango, Andrew follows the water as it reaches Lake Ngami and enters the Boteti.

    Andrew remembers the many strong flowing and turbulent rivers that he has followed, only to arrive now at the very last vestige, a tiny trickle in the long dry bed of the Boteti River. The locals say that not since 1974 has the river flowed there. Andrew pours in the water collected in episode-5. The series concluded with a brief recap of what has been one of his greatest adventures.
