When you think Sydney 4WDing, you think the Blue Mountains and the Watagans, right? Down south, however, is an off-road paradise just waiting to be discovered. Nowra's just two hours south of Sydney, and while you've probably heard of the Monkey Gum Fire Trail that Graham and the boys tackled a couple of years back, truth is there's so much more out here that this is set to become Sydney's number-one off-road destination. The tracks are wild, the campsites are simply stunning, and it's all within a short weekend escape of home! Talking escapes, this issue we catch up with three owners of some seriously stick escape machines. First up is one of the most unique 4WDs you'll ever see on the tracks in Australia, an absolutely insane Ford F350 that's been built to go anywhere. Then we speak to a bloke who's built a dual-cab V8 diesel 'Cruiser that'll just about have the most die-hard Nissan fans questioning their choice of vehicle, and finally we meet a 4WDer with a monster GU Patrol. The barwork on this thing is the definition of 'individual' - the only question, what do you reckon of t? Finally, we catch up with Roothy as he puts a new bush spin on the kids' favourite - Toad in the Hole. Geez, the bloke oughta invest in shares in a curry powder company already! All this and more on this issue of 4WD Action TV - where we fit adventure into every weekend.
