'내가 죽기 일주일 전'은 삶에 대한 의욕 없이 히키코모리처럼 살던 스물넷 정희완(김민하 분) 앞에 어린 시절 친구이자 첫사랑인 김람우(공명 분)가 저승사자로 나타나 희완이 일주일 후 죽는다고 얘기하며 벌어지는 이야기를 그린 드라마다. 죽기 전, 자신이 가장 사랑하는 사람의 모습으로 저승사자가 나타난다는 전승 판타지로 얽히는 두 청춘 남녀의 로맨스를 그린다.
