本剧讲述鲛人少女包肉肉与神探顾星河联手侦破一系列诡谲案件、相爱相杀的故事。大邺十五，为寻找失散的父亲，鲛人少女包肉肉踏上陆地后深陷迷案，并与神探顾星河相遇。为达到各自目的，二人携手侦破桩桩迷案，并联合好友影暗卫指挥使易起风、镖师陆青儿，一同揭发案情背后更大的权利阴谋。最终，一心寻找父亲的包肉肉再次面对亲人离去，多年求药治病的顾星河也付出了生命，待一切尘埃落定，失去一切的包肉肉决定带着所有人的爱活下去。
