考进省城大学的山里青年第五名虽然在省城落脚，但依然惦记着刚刚脱贫的家乡伍家村，寻找各种方式希望带领村民一起致富，谁知先后遭遇黄芪危机、森林虫灾，导致刚刚脱贫的村子险些返贫。在走投无路之时，第五名运用所学知识以及对相关市场的熟悉，联合锦鲤养殖大户孙婷、“富二代”铁马规划观赏鱼锦鲤养殖方案，建设饲料生产工厂，成功养殖出优质赛级锦鲤，在市场中独占鳌头，声名远播，锦鲤饲料也远销海外，逐渐带动周边乡村发展，建立完整产业链，第五名顺势在村里举行锦鲤大赛，吸引资本注入，不但自己创业成功，也推动了家乡发展。
