阪神・淡路大震災で被災し、母・詩子(田中裕子)の実家がある宮崎に家族で移り住んだ高原若葉(原田夏希)。亡き父・公一(内藤剛志)との約束を果たすために、神戸へ戻り、祖父・栄造(織本順吉)のもとで悪戦苦闘しながら造園家への道を歩んでいく。就職、恋愛、結婚、出産などさまざまな経験を重ねながら、若葉が震災で傷ついた街と家族の心を再生していくまでをさわやかに描いた作品。
