布成龙自幼便失去了父母，由爷爷布崇文一手拉扯长大。虽然成长在破碎的家庭之中，但布成龙的个性依然十分开朗活泼。一天，在武林盟主上官一剑所主持的比武大会上，布崇文不幸丧生，紧接着布成龙便遭到了管家的暗算和陷害，不仅失去了一切流落街头，还遭到奸人的暗杀，所幸得到了霍一刀的救助才幸免于难，两人之间因此结下了深厚的友谊。 布成龙爱上了上官一剑的女儿上官红，但上官红却苦苦痴恋着曾经救过她的大侠萧逸龙，与此同时，灵蛇夫人的徒弟青丝看上了布成龙，一行人被卷入了纠葛的情感之中。
