打算在影视界有番作为的年轻人蒋力（张涵予 饰）、费小弟（叶京 饰）与大款吴立伟（傅彪 饰）合作创办了伟歌影视公司。为找投资人，蒋力瞄上香港富婆王淑贤（于兰 饰），伹王淑贤对费小弟更有兴趣，这让当时的介绍人吴丽萍（董晓燕 饰）很感失落。小弟到银取钱碰上劫匪，他以为是剧组拍 戏，上演了一场见义勇为的现代版。韩建秋对酒店服务员庄雅婷（陶虹 饰）不怀好意，一直追求雅婷的蒋力及时挫败了他的图谋。为谋日后发展，吴立伟极力讨好当红明星潘文莉（夏力薪 饰），潘文莉临开机要求换掉配角庄雅婷，庄唆使狗仔队将潘隐私曝光，自己如愿当上女一号。凭借与潘文莉的绯闻，许宁（冯雷 饰）一夜之间成了红人，当初追求庄雅婷的蒋力则没了戏.
