物語の舞台は、とあるレストラン「rapport （ラポール）」。かつては多くのお客で賑わっていたものの、先代シェフが亡くなってから経営は悪化。先代シェフの息子、娘らで何とか黒字に戻そうと努力していたものの、次第に借金は膨らみ、いつ潰れてもおかしくない状態に陥っていった。そんな中、突如1人の男が店に現れる。パリ帰りのシェフ、ムッシュ・伊達。パリマダムを虜にしてきたと料理に自信はあるようだが、店にやってきた理由がどうも怪しく、スタッフ達は伊達の言うことを信じ切れない。そこにやってくる借金取りの金園。金園は、「これ以上、借金は待てない」と最終通告を言い渡し、去っていく。慌てるrapportスタッフたち。そのとき、伊達がとった行動は…。
