大明永乐年间，少女姚子衿（吴谨言 饰）进宫入选为尚食局宫女，在深宫中不断成长并一路坚持对中华美食技艺的追求，结识友情并邂逅爱情，在和朱瞻基（许凯 饰）一波三折的感情故事中，展现出明朝三位杰出帝王的历史功绩与家庭生活，描绘出一座洋溢着浓郁亲情、友情、爱情，充满着人情味的美食紫禁城。
During the reign of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, the young girl Yao Zijin (Wu Jinyan) was selected as the palace maid of Shangshi Bureau. She continued to grow up in the deep palace and adhered to the pursuit of Chinese cuisine skills all the way. She made friends and met love by chance. In the twists and turns of her love story with Zhu Zhanji (Xu Kai), she showed the historical achievements and family life of the three outstanding emperors of the Ming Dynasty: it depicts a gourmet forbidden city full of strong family affection, friendship, love and human feelings.
