有数のコレクションを誇る美術館の副館長の菜穂(高畑充希)は、老舗画廊3代目の夫・一輝(風間俊介)との子を身ごもり、東京の喧騒を避け京都に長逗留していた。母・克子(森口瑤子)の計らいだったが、慣れない地での暮らしは、菜穂を異邦人のような心地にさせる。そんなある日に立ち寄った美濃山(松尾貴史)の画廊で、一枚の無名画家の絵に心を打たれる菜穂。それは、知られざる京都画壇の闇に彼女をいざなう出会いとなる。
Naho (Mitsuki Takahata), the deputy director of a museum with a large collection of artworks, is pregnant with her husband Ikki (Shunsuke Kazama), the third-generation owner of a long-established art gallery, and stays in Kyoto to avoid the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Her mother, Katsuko (Yaozi Moriguchi), has arranged for her to stay in Kyoto for a long time to avoid the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, but living in an unfamiliar place makes Naho feel like a foreigner. One day, Naho drops by Minoyama's (Takashi Matsuo) gallery and is struck by a painting by an unknown artist. It is an encounter that leads her to the unknown darkness of the Kyoto art world.
