《聊齋》是中國文學上的奇葩，當中描繪了大量的狐仙鬼怪、花妖樹精，藉以影射芸芸眾生和世間百態旳奇思妙想。本劇雲集中、港、台三地紅星演出，加上精彩的電腦動畫特技，讓劇中色彩繽紛的神幻世界活現在觀眾眼前。同時，本劇依舊保留了《聊齋》原著的精神及精髓，內容雖圍繞著狐妖鬼神的奇幻世界，但更強調其中的因果、愛情、親情、以及人物的刻劃，以”驚天動地、盪氣迴腸”總括了全劇。 整套《聊齋》劇集由六個故事組成，其中包括為人所熟悉的浪漫淒美神話故事，有《小倩》、《陸判》、《畫皮》、《小翠》、《阿寶》、《小謝與秋容》，各有不同的特色與風格，帶領觀眾進入《聊齋》的奇幻世界。
