石原裕次郎を支えた北原三枝だけが知る夫婦の愛の物語を描く。女優の三枝（松下奈緒）は裕次郎（徳重聡）と共演を重ね、海外への逃避行の末、結婚。裕次郎の妻・まき子として生きることを選ぶ。石原プロをつくり夢に向かう裕次郎を支えるまき子は、夫に寄り添いながら、映画製作の苦難や病魔との闘いに挑んでいく。
