女法醫官聶寶言（陳慧珊）父是拆彈專家，一次行動中卻意外被炸死，言化悲憤加入法醫行列，以繼承其父的遺志，捍衛社會公義。言的姐姐意（陳美琪），是著名的專欄作家兼電台節目主持，專替人解決家庭及愛情糾紛，惜能醫卻不自醫，與女兒津津（鍾麗淇）關係惡劣。 津偶然認識了在法證科工作的喬（魯文傑），喬曾涉嫌謀殺女友妮（陳彥行），津深信喬無辜，遂與言及喬兄原（林保怡）合力找出真凶，助喬洗脫罪名。津知他暗戀女CID蔡小棠（李珊珊），遂幫他追求之，卻發現小棠已心有所屬，喬無奈只好放棄。原與蔡在工作當中發生感情，而這時言也發現對原愛到不能自拔。
