沈十五（张亮饰）虽与王诗诗（陈都灵饰）有婚约在身，却阴差阳错爱上了王诗诗夜晚变身成的月儿（陈都灵饰），而刘星雨（白客饰）也对第一艺伎王诗诗一见钟情。三人蒙在鼓里，展开一段奇妙的感情。 在逐渐解锁前世今生的过程中，沈十五和刘星雨并且分别和妖界妖后明珠（吴优饰）、月庭国公主耶律古儿（陆琪蔚饰）产生情感纠葛。当世间大乱，各族相战时，为了苍生大爱，他们肩负正义与责任，携神剑“鸣鸿”惩恶安邦，拯救天下。
