Children are too frequently the victims of violence from adults and from each other, and this occurs to an even greater degree among disadvantaged young people. Violence in all its forms has a huge impact on education, but violence is preventable, and in classrooms and in communities around the world new and determined voices are being heard.Educators, students, community activists and religious leaders joined Nobel Peace Prize laureates in an extraordinary conference on violence, in which participants exchanged ideas and strategies to transform our violent world into a more peaceful one.
