六、七十年代大量人口由內地來港，找不到工作便在街上擺賣當小販。在未有超市的年代，要買齊柴米油鹽醬醋茶，並不是一件易事，辦館和士多提供了便利，到米鋪糴米的歲月，記憶猶新。 八十年代以前，包伙食又叫福食，即福利膳食，有些老闆會提供午膳給員工。政府獎券在1962年推出，每注賣二元，要親身到大會堂看自己有無中獎。 半世紀前的香港，打電話要用街上的電話亭，到八十年代傳呼機出現，人與人之間的溝通才方便多一點。
In the 1960s and 1970s, a large number of people came to Hong Kong from the Mainland. In the days when there were no supermarkets, it was not an easy task to buy Qichai, rice, oil, salt, sauce and vinegar tea. Offices and restaurants provided conveniences. The years of rice shop and rice are still fresh in my memory. Before the 1980s, packaged meals were also called Fu Shi, or welfare meals. Some bosses would provide lunch to their employees. The government lottery was introduced in 1962. Each bet sells for two yuan. You have to go to the Great Hall to see if you have won the lottery.
