Fiber Tip Pens

The behind-the-scenes tales of hit products and creations from Japan: this is Japan's Top Inventions. This time, fiber tip pens, invented by a Japanese stationery firm in 1963. These water-based pens improved on the firm's oil-based pens, whose ink feathered and bled. Thanks to early user Lyndon Johnson, 36th President of the United States, they became a hit.
