南米でテロ事件が発生。事件は、日本人の人質6人全員が死亡という最悪の結果となってしまう。2年後、ラジオ局の報道記者・中原（佐藤隆太）は、テロ事件で母親を亡くしたひとみ（波瑠）から連絡を受ける。当時、事件解決に動いていた政府軍は盗聴器を仕掛けており、人質たちの「声」が収められたテープが存在したのだという。そこに収録されていたのは、職業も年齢もバラバラの人質たちの、ひそやかな朗読だった。
