For the first time, the programme will be live from some of the biggest Hogmanay street parties in Scotland. Jackie Bird presents live from Edinburgh's Princes Street as we join the thousands of revellers who come from all round the world to enjoy the capital's Hogmanay celebrations. To get us all dancing the electrifying Blazin' Fiddles will be on stage with their lightning fast fiddles and guitars, there will also be some of the best live music from Edinburgh as, for the first time, the show features some of the great tunes keeping the crowd warm on the streets of the capital from Scotland's own Twin Atlantic. And, of course, no Hogmanay would be complete without two of the country's favourite traditional musicians, Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain. As well as all that great live music there will be made some specially made films looking back at the momentous events of 2014, and, for the very first time, a very special countdown to mark the final few moments of 2014. In Edinburgh, Scots rockers Biffy Clyro will be giving the year a big send-off as headliners of the concert in Princes Street Gardens. Turbo-charged supergroup Treacherous Orchestra will throw their unique energy into the mix from the Fruitmarket stage to keep the celebrations going, and over at the Ross Bandstand in Edinburgh, Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band will get the party started. And in Glasgow, there's a very special surprise guest lined up to get the nation rocking in the New Year.
