A very ordinary high school student, Tonai Sho (Nomura Shuhei), begins to live alone in an empty house of the picture book writer's uncle, Yota Unouchi (Totsugi Shigeyuki), after his parents' divorce. In school life, Sho falls in love with the Madonna of the same class, Nanami Shibahara (Iihoyo Marie). However, Nanami thinks that Sho's best friend, Tomoaki Furuya (Shimizu Jinya). Chiaki, who knows Sho's feelings, pretends not to notice Nanami's feelings. A night that was so complicated love. Suddenly, I heard a noise from the closet. When I opened the door, I found a videotape and a broken video deck. There is also a VHS on the VCR. When Sho repairs the deck and plays it, it flows with a video of a girl named Amano Ai (Nanase Nishino). And all of a sudden, you jump out of the screen! The strange co-living of Sho and Video Girl Ai begins.
ごく普通の高校生・弄内翔（野村周平）は、親の離婚を機に、絵本作家の叔父・弄内洋太（戸次重幸）の空き家で一人暮らしを始める。学校生活では、翔は同じクラスのマドンナ・柴原奈々美（飯豊まりえ）に恋心を抱いていた。しかし奈々美が想っているのは、翔の親友・古矢智章（清水尋也）。翔の気持ちを知る智章は、奈々美の想いに気づかないふりをしていた。 そんな複雑な恋模様にモヤモヤしていた夜。突然、クローゼットの中から物音が聞こえる。気になって扉を開けると、１本のビデオテープと故障したビデオデッキが…。しかもビデオデッキにはVHSが入ったまま。翔は、デッキを直して再生すると、流れて来たのは天野アイ（西野七瀬）と名乗る女の子の映像。しかも突然、画面から中から飛び出してきて…！翔とビデオガール・アイの3ヶ月に及ぶ奇妙な共同生活が始まる。
