Built at the turn of the century in the early 1900’s The Lake House Hotel was a busy Saylorsburg PA landmark frequented by many business travelers on their way North from New York City. During the (first) Great Depression of the 1920’s many who had lost everything on the crashed stock market checked in for a last good meal and hung themselves in their rooms. A bartender was also shot and murdered in a botched robbery in the 80’s. Over the decades since, staff and guests have reported all manner of alleged paranormal activity in this legendary Pennsylvania landmark now the state’s single most popular and best Halloween attraction.
