Dat is The Band, de grootste zoektocht van Vlaanderen en Nederland naar een nieuwe, mannelijke popgroep. Elke vrijdagavond spat het testosteron van het scherm en worden tientallen mannen door hosts Laura Tesoro, Niels Destadsbader en Jim Bakkum het podium opgestuurd. Van stoere rockers tot straffe popstemmen: allemaal proberen ze een plekje in The Band te bemachtigen.
