Karin Lossow trifft beim Spaziergang am Strand mit Hund Lucky auf Gerda Kolping. Wie jeden Morgen vor der Arbeit stürzt sie sich mit ihrem Neoprenanzug in die kalten Fluten der Ostsee. Zunächst scheint alles normal, bis Karin plötzlich Hilferufe vernimmt. Gerda Kolping kann sich nicht mehr über Wasser halten. Karin versucht zwar noch, sie aus dem Wasser zu ziehen, doch jede Hilfe kommt zu spät. Für die erst 14-jährige Tochter Emma ein Schock – zumal ihr Vater Markus Kolping seit einer Corona-Infektion zum Pflegefall geworden ist.
Karin Lossow meets Gerda Kolping while walking on the beach with her dog Lucky. Like every morning before work, she plunges into the cold waters of the Baltic Sea in her wetsuit. At first, everything seems normal, until Karin suddenly hears cries for help. Gerda Kolping can no longer keep her head above water. Karin still tries to pull her out of the water, but any help comes too late. A shock for their daughter Emma, who is only 14 years old - especially since her father Markus Kolping has become a nursing case since a corona infection.
