Neufs candidats, tous jeunes créateurs de mode, vont être en compétition durant plusieurs semaines. Chaque semaine, leur mentor, Donald Potard, leur soumettra des défis complexes et originaux : créer des vêtements bien sûr, mais dans des situations et avec des matériaux bien souvent inattendus !
