Après des années passées à servir les clients d’une bibliothèque de quartier, Michèle Favrod accède enfin à la direction de l’établissement. Débordant d’enthousiasme, elle succède à Edouard Balser, un dandy plus intéressé par sa carrière d’écrivain raté que par l’administration d’une bibliothèque. Ainsi, malgré son énergie débordante, Michèle hérite d’un lieu vétuste au lectorat en perte de vitesse, auquel s’ajoute un Audit pour mauvaise gestion des finances. Son prédécesseur lui a légué un joli lot de casseroles…
