Het Journaal

Het Journaal is de dagelijkse nieuwsuitzending van de VRT, die op de televisiezender één en tijdens het weekend ook op Canvas wordt uitgezonden. Het eerste journaal werd uitgezonden op 31 oktober 1953 (ook de dag van de eerste televisie-uitzending in Vlaanderen) en sindsdien is het VRT-journaal, analoog met de ontwikkeling van televisie als medium, flink veranderd. Aanvankelijk had het Journaal slechts enkele medewerkers, maar tegenwoordig zijn er tientallen journalisten en nog veel meer andere medewerkers, waaronder regisseurs, producers, redacteurs en technici.
