上世纪九十年代末，戏剧学院大一学生小庄，为了追随青梅竹马从新兵连桀骜不驯不守规矩的典范，到为了兄弟情谊报名参加狼牙集训，再到残酷疲惫的层层“除锈”选拔训练，并最终和老炮、强子、耿继辉、史大凡、邓振华等人一起，成为了每年从几十万陆军中挑出的六名新锐，组成狼牙特种大队孤狼特别突击队，小庄从一个穿着军装的艺术青年，而逐渐触摸到军人的灵魂，并逐渐爱上了中国陆军。 　　他和孤狼特别突击队的队员们一起，同生共死，在各种实战演习中屡建奇功。在一次赴边境配合武警侦察剿灭贩毒武装的战斗中，一举清除了盘踞在祖国西南边境的毒瘤……
