一個關於這個時代香港人的故事。從來香港就是一個移民的城市，昨天送走了異地過客，今天迎接了南來居民，明天湧來北方的同族人，面對著一浪浪的衝擊。 話說中環嘉咸街舊唐樓「有房出租」，入住了一個英國回流女子和年青貌美的啤酒妹，亦揭開了一班來自五湖四海騎厘住客的面紗：落難英國紳士、無沙紙但有學識的長者、大陸回流管理階層、古惑「破產」天王、年青有理想的街頭戰士、香港長大的南亞裔地盤工人……各有落難原因，隱藏著種種目的才入住了這地，各人均期望一朝「龍穿鳳」。就在你與我、我與他的利益矛盾下，每天在舊唐樓上演著連場精彩的人生好戲：親情、友情、愛情、兄弟情、愛國情等等等等戲碼。 8 個騎厘住客，各有各的問題：市區重建、三失青年、種族歧視、年青人的際遇、投訴城市、新中港婚姻、壓力、欠債、大陸化、老齡化、健康、前途…… 13 集時事劇描述這班寄居蟹貪圖「假假地都住係中環」的虛名，以輕喜劇形式去道出林林總總的社會問題和衝突。
