矢部謙三是【圈套】系列裡重要的甘草人物，因為討喜的個性而受到觀眾的熱愛。現在朝日電視台另外開拍外傳，讓現年50歲的生瀨勝久因為這個角色得以在二十幾年的演員生涯中首次主役！ 到目前為止，矢部仍然總是攪和在山田與上田的搜查中，但這次他即將遭到自己能力無法解決的事件攻擊。而矢部老愛巴結主管、搶下屬功勞的劣根性仍然沒改變，劇中也會描述他成為刑警的經過，還有動歪腦筋的搞笑過程。
