Friedrich Engels

Friedrich Engels (1820–1895) was a German philosopher, social scientist, and economist, best known as the co-founder of Marxism and a key collaborator of Karl Marx. He provided crucial financial support to Marx and co-wrote the influential Communist Manifesto. After Marx's death, Engels edited and published the remaining volumes of Capital, helping to systematize and popularize theories of class struggle and communism after the death of his intellectual partner.
